Sedna the GODDESS returns! Was murder of Osedion was mythologically driven 🧿

Goddess Sedna Returns -

Who is she ? Sedna as a beautiful maiden who rejects marriage proposals from the hunters of her village. When an unknown hunter appears, Sedna's father agrees to give her to him as wife in return for fish. Sedna's father gives Sedna a sleeping potion and gives her to the hunter who takes her to a large nest on a cliff, revealing his true form: a great bird-spirit (variously described as a raven, a fulmar or a Kokksaut/petrel-spirit). She wakes surrounded by birds. Her father attempts to rescue her, but the bird-spirit becomes angry, causing a great storm. In desperation, Sedna's father throws her into the raging sea. Attempting to cling to the kayak, her hands freeze and her fingers fall off becoming the creatures of the sea. She falls to the bottom of the sea and grows a fishtail.

Sedna is kidnapped or deceived by a different bird creature in yet another version. Her father then leaves in his kayak to rescue her from the floating ice-island where she is imprisoned while the bird creature is away. The creature, enraged by her disappearance, calls to a spirit of the sea to help him. The sea spirit locates the kayak with the two humans aboard and creates huge waves to kill them. Her father throws Sedna overboard in the hope that this will appease the angry god. Sedna clings to the kayak but her father grabs a little ax and chops three of her fingers off before striking her on the head. The three fingers each become a different species of seal. The stroke to her head sends Sedna to the ocean floor where she resides, commanding the animals of the sea.[8]

In one Baffin Island tradition, Sedna was in a kayak with her family when a storm started. Her parents thought she was to blame for the storm and threw her into the sea. She clung to the kayak, but her father cut her fingers off: first the tips, then the second knuckle, then the last knuckle. Her disembodied fingers turned into sea creatures.

Sedna representation and meaning

It certainly represents relationship issues as the whole story begins from Sedna's reluctance towards relationship.

  •   It can also represent dominant parents, especially Father and the native had to rebel against the Father to assert his/her individuality.

  •   It would certainly represent a defiant/rebellious person who wants to live life on his/her own terms. It not only represents defiance towards parents but defiance towards people of the house where Sedna is placed. Like in 7th house, person may like to defy their partner time and again, leading to chaos in relation.

  •   Sedna's position in chart can be more relevant for any female in a Patriarchal Society where Father & male partners has higher say on Daughter's or woman’s life, especially before her marriage.

  • Sedna's position is also relevant in matters where parents opt of so-called "Honour Killings" of their daughter as she has defied them in one way or the other.

  •   Then Sedna's position can be relevant to assess someone's intuition or ability to be a deep thinker as Sedna settled down in deep sea.

  •   For someone working in fields like Sailing, Fishing, Navy or anything to do with sea-creature or sea-food, Sedna can be important.

  •   Sedna's position can also show betrayal as her Father had thrown her away in sea.

  • ¡. Sedna's position can also indicate Physical Disabilities due to cutting-off of her fingers/hands etc.

  • j. Sedna can be an important point to understand that in which area person may assert his individuality and be rebellious.

Sedna in Taurus moving into Gemini 2024 reveals the technocrats revolution to base humanities existence in an artificial world. One of the discovery events of 2003, which I link to Sedna, is the development of neural networks, which is the basis of Artificial Intelligence. Ray Kurzweil is a scientist, inventor and futurist, who made a series of predictions in the 1990s. All his predictions to date have been realised. So here are some for this Gemini period:

"By the 2030s, virtual reality will begin to feel 100% real. We will be able to upload our mind/consciousness by the end of the decade. By the 2040s, non-biological intelligence will be a billion times more capable than biological intelligence. Nanotech foglets (micro-robots – known as 'smart material') will be able to make food out of thin air and create any object in the physical world at a whim. By 2045, we will multiply our intelligence a billion-fold by linking wirelessly from our neocortex to a synthetic neocortex in the cloud." (From a 26 January 2015 article on singularityhub.com by Peter Diamandis.)

The varying legends each give different rationales for Sedna's transcendence, but in each version, her father, or 'the people', take her to sea in a boat and throw her overboard. In each she clings to her old life and her fingers are chopped off before she lets go. And in each version she sinks to the bottom of the sea, becoming the sea goddess, worshipped by hunters who depend on her goodwill to supply food.

And from the myth we get the idea that it relates to various unconscious experiences which come from our heredity, that will push us to a painful crisis of transcendence, where we are forced to let go of our old spiritual framework and rise to a new consciousness.

Legendary humanistic astrologer Dane Rudhyar posited that there were three different levels on which each planet could operate depending on the evolution of our consciousness. The vast majority of us are at the beginners' level and we will manifest the energy of Sedna from a position of being buried in the dysfunctional swamp of density.

Largely unconscious of the all-encompassing spiritual energy of the planet, we are likely only to notice it when it jolts our reality, to correct some imbalance in our lives by bringing us illness or victimisation, like the judder strip (or 'sleeping policeman') on the road, to steer us back onto the true path of our soul's destiny.

At the intermediate level, we tire of density and the grief it creates, and we start a spiritual journey to get out of the swamp. This is the key to working with Sedna: she wants to get us on a spiritual path or recognise the spiritual path that we're on. Then she hits us with transcendent crises, experiences which force us to let go and rise above them, resulting in a huge growth to a new level of consciousness. There is no choice with these crises and the more we try and solve them the more we will get hurt.

Here are some keywords for these three levels of spiritual development. At the unconscious level it's fairly dark, but this doesn't mean that all darkness comes from Sedna; she just uses every tool she has to get us onto the spiritual path.

At the unconscious level

  • Victimisation

  • Persistent illness

  • Alienation

  • Unrelenting trauma and suffering

  • Nurturing resentment

  • Unbearable pressure

  • Caught in quicksand

  • Personal blindspot

On the spiritual path

  • Radical acceptance

  • Acknowledging just how bad things really are and starting from there

  • Keeping our heart open in hell

  • Nurturing our sense of humour

  • Beating our drum and singing to life

  • Fated transcendence

At the spiritually evolved level
